In the book of Acts, it appears that women might have participated in decision making with men. When a decision needed to be made there does not appear to be any reason that women were excluded from being involved a decision (Acts ). Acts is a book of history as it records the acts of Jesus Christ by His Spirit through His Church. Acts is a book of theology. You will see how theology is lived out, evidence for the inspiration of scripture, and proof that the gospel message has never changed.

Acts is a book of biography and human relationships. BY JAY BARRETT. The book of Acts is peppered with stories of women that would’ve raised eyebrows in the 1st century and might still today.

These women are not the stuff of Sunday School picture books. They’re real and they’re diverse – household servants, tradeswomen, business leaders, intellectuals – and they’re essential to the church’s.

Women are mentioned either directly or indirectly over 20 times in the book of Acts. There are 3 separate times that it mentions women were tortured for their faith: Acts Saul committed women to prison Acts That Saul might bring women bound to prison Acts Saul/Paul testifies how he had committed women to prison before his conversion.

Acts mentioned the Eleven + Matthias, but vv had been speaking of the larger group of theincluding the women. So Hapas jumps over the 12 back to the larger group that was gathered together that Sunday morning, the 50th day following the resurrection of our Lord, of which the women were the first witnesses.
